SOUTHERN PROVINCE CEMENT COMPANY, SAUDI ARABIA wish to inform that the following categories’ personnel will be recruited by our client for their company and the final interview with company delegates will be conducted very shortly.
Brief of Company:
Southern Province Cement Company was established by royal decree number M/3 dated 22/01/1978 as share holding company with capital of SR 700 million divided into 7 million shares, the value of each share was SR 100, the total share holders were 13,000. In the year 1997 Board of Directors decided to increase the capital of the company with a percentage of 50% to be SR 1,050 million by allotting half of the share value to the share holders on free bases in order to capitalize Bisha Plant, which was built by self financing, then the capital was increased again to be a paid capital of SR 1,400 million with total of 140,000,000 shares with a value of SR 10 per share.
Southern Province Cement Company started with Jazan Cement Plant on 30/10/1981 with designed production capacity of 5,000 tons of clinker/day, and due to the continuous developing it reached 7,550 tons/day.
In 1992, Board of Directors observed the high demand on cement market and decided to expand the cement production by building a new plant on the mountains area to avoid the hilly roads and difficulties of supplying those areas with cement. Geological searching for the reserved limestone area started and good economical quantity was found in Al-Mahawi in Bisha area, and a contract was signed with HALA Company from Korea, a joint venture with Fuler Company from USA, to build the plant with designed capacity of 1,2 million ton/Year. The production in Bisha Plant started on 01 April 1997,
Southern Province Cement Company management took decision to go for the 3rd Cement Plant (Tahamah Plant), after search for limestone and study of the areas decision was taken to start the 3rd cement plant at Al-Aradiah Al-Janoubiah in Makah region with designed capacity of 5,000 ton/day, which went up to 6,000 ton/day due to some developments.

We have an immediate requirement for the position of System Engineer.
Role Purpose
To monitor, tune & support the enterprise network & the data centre (like HP Servers, HP SAN Storage, HP Tape Library, Data Backup & UPS etc..) to insure the best quality services in a state-of-the-art environment.
Key Accountabilities
Facilitate and manage the engineering & implementation of LAN /WAN based servers and enterprise systems.
Manage internal Local Area Network (LAN) & Wide Area Network (WAN), systematically troubleshoot and resolve all server problems, establish a growth plan for the network to insure the best quality service in a state-of-the-art environment.
Perform remedial and proactive system administration, management and monitoring of functions on LAN/WAN servers by utilizing both manual and automated tools and techniques (included automated inventory collection, virus scanning, data backup, software distribution and server utilization/monitoring tools).
Recommend and implement appropriate network technologies. Monitor and fine tune the enterprise network.
Manage the implementation, testing and on-going support of client/server based application solutions and documentations of current network designs. Manage all the Servers (Exchange 2010, Symantec, and the SAP ERP Applications). Verify the Daily Data Backup.
Provide input to management for network design, and procurement of network equipment and supplies.
Perform equipment installation and relocation as required to support the business needs of the enterprise.
Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedure require change or development, especially regarding future business expansion.
Job Context
The jobholder is a key member of the IT department and works effectively with Manager Information Technology in carrying out the day to day follow up in monitoring & improving the current IT Infrastructure setup (HP Servers under Operating System Windows 2008 R2, SAN Storage, Tape Library, Cisco Core Switches, Routers, Firewall, and UPS etc.) at HO and the three plants to have zero down time.
Communications and Working Relationships
The jobholder needs to maintain active follow-up with department network users on all the three Plants and HO to ensure effective Applications & Network Performance with zero downtime.
Requires insight and sensitivity in dealing with trainees to ensure optimum motivation & efficiency.
Framework, Boundaries, Decision Making Authority and Responsibility
• He should be able to take independent decisions regarding day to day problems and solve them. Recommend modifications for improving IT Infrastructure performance. He will be fully responsible for the Data Centres Operations (like HP Blade Servers, HP SAN Storage, HP Tape Library, Data Backup & UPS etc..) at HO and all the three plants at different locations
Knowledge Skills and Experience
Graduate / Master in Computer Science Engineering, Microsoft Certified Engineer and Cisco Certified Engineer with 5-15 years experience in industrial network environment set-up, preferably in a Cement Plant. Ideally, he should also have experience in different types of Hardware and Operating Systems.
Working Knowledge of of HP Blade Servers, HP SAN Storage, HP Tape Library.
Working Knowledge of LAN/WAN connectivity, VSAT and Wireless Communications.
Working Knowledge of MS Server 2008/2012 & Exchange Servers 2010.
Working Knowledge of TCP/IP, IP, IPX/SPX, ISA and other network protocols.
Complete understanding of all Cisco switches, routers servers’ hardware and its configurations.
Requires strong leadership qualities, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills and sensitivity in advising.
Well developed planning and organising skills the ability to perform under pressure.
Working knowledge of English, both oral and written.

Total number of staffs in IT Department Applications : 6 Staffs and Network & Support: 4 Staffs
Total number of LAN users/clients : 350 and Total number of H/W (Sewers) :11 Servers
